What is "fitting in" these days? It is generally thought of as becoming one with the public, or with the popular kids at school, or certain trends that can be found on social media. Many kids don't really know how to fit in, as they tend to try too hard and end up being rejected. I, however, believe that I have found the way that works best (for me, at least) to fit in wit your peers and make more friends. It's called "adapting." What I did it take in bits from my friends that I have noticed and made it a part of who I am, and as a result, I am well liked by many people. I even used this strategy here, so that all you guys would like me.

But, there is a problem with this. One friend's personality will definitely be drastically different than another, and as a result you may take things too far and hurt someone, or you lose your sense of self. This has happened to me, and it has had a detrimental impact to my wellbeing, resulting in me seeking help because of how mentally screwed up I was, and I have said things in front of certain people that I wish that I could take back. I have learned from my mistakes, but the damages are going to take forever to come back from.

So, what have I learned from this?

Be yourself.

Best the best version of you that you can be.

You don't need to fit in, your friend group is best suited for you.

You are amazing just the way you are.

I am only saying these things because I know that many people here are younger than me. Learn from my mistakes. You don't need to fit in to be liked. you don't need to change you at all (unless you are a psychopath, in which case you might wanna figure that out).
