The Aperture is a limited time vehicle in Jailbreak. Modeled by Stealth_Llama, this hypercar features a V12 engine sound and a trailing taillight effect.

Costing 899,000, this vehicle was available for 7 days before going limited. It can now only be obtained through trading.

Overview[]

The Aperture is based on the Apollo Project EVO, an exotic hypercar. The vehicle notably has a very sharp and jagged body shape, creating a standout design with cross-shaped headlights similar to that of the Beignet's and six-pointed star-like taillights with a red trail effect when braking, similar to that of the Shogun. Additionally, the Aperture has a unique V12 engine sound created by oof_ed and AMiguent. It can carry two players - a driver and a single passenger.

Performance[]

The Aperture is a phenomenal performer - it has one of the highest top speeds in the game, rivaling the Beignet and Eclaire, but is superior to them in terms of acceleration and braking. The Aperture packs a powerful punch on both low- and high-end power - its incredible launch and acceleration is faster than nearly all of Jailbreak's supercars, allowing it to keep up with electric cars such as the Roadster. Additionally, the Aperture's high-end acceleration keeps it ahead of the Beignet and Eclaire at high speeds. On Jailbreak's map, the Aperture can easily reach 250 MPH due to its great top speed and acceleration, and can be considered the ultimate all-rounder car.

Overall, the Aperture is an incredible vehicle due to its remarkable stats and it was recommended for people to buy while on sale due to being limited and having phenomenal performance.

The Aperture has a top speed is 279 MPH, faster than MCL36, Crown, Successor and M12 Molten. It is the 13th fastest land vehicle and 14th fastest vehicle overall. It is beaten by the Wedge, Beignet and Macaron. The Aperture can reach 80 MPH in reverse, making it one of the faster vehicles when it comes to reverse performance, and is comparable to the Volt and able to tie with the Eclaire and Concept. However, it's slower than the Beignet.

Instantly reaches 79 MPH in one second, which is the second fastest launch of any car and third-fastest launch of any vehicle in Jailbreak. It can beat the Power-1 and the Roadster, it even surpasses the Successor by 1 MPH. It's only beaten by the Volt and the Stormrider. The Aperture has phenomenal acceleration. It can 200 MPH in 7 seconds making it keep up with a few electric vehicles while accelerating. Slighty beating the Successor and about the same as the Concept. However it loses to the Manta by about 1.5-2 seconds for reaching 200 MPH.

The Aperture has incredible handling with a turning speed of 1.4, it has high grip but gets harder to control at higher speeds. Comparable to Torpedo. Its incredible launch allows it to scale mountains with ease. However, the low front lip combined with the high speed can make it struggle to go offtrack, even with high suspension. Moreover, its light chassis causes it to be unstable, often flipping when going over rougher terrain.

The Aperture takes 0.7 seconds to fully stop from over 200 MPH, which is comparable to the Successor and Airtail. The Aperture has 75 HP, which is below average, and the standard disable duration of 7.5 seconds. Identical to the Concept and many other hypercars

Trivia[]

  • This vehicle was originally submitted at the r/JailbreakCreations subreddit for Season 17: Travelling Europe. The vehicle was originally named the "Chimera".[2]
  • This is the first and only vehicle in the game to be based on a vehicle manufactured by Apollo Automobil.
  • This is the third vehicle in the game to feature a V12 engine sound, after the Concept and Crown.
    • While other vehicles in game have V12 engines, they do not feature a distinct sound unlike the cars mentioned above.
  • Just like other limited-time vehicles, the Aperture could not be traded while it was still available for purchase and became tradable once off-sale.
    • The reasoning for this was confirmed by Asimo on Twitter, where he stated "...you could trade yours away to alts and stack a bunch of them. Make them less rare."[3]
  • This is the 3rd vehicle in the game to have a vertically mounted police siren, after the M12 Molten and Volt 4X4.

Miscellaneous Trivia[]

  • This is one of 3 cars to feature trailing taillights when the car is not accelerating, the others being the Shogun and Manta.
    • One of the Aperture's teaser images showed off this trail feature, but the length was much longer than the final length.[4] It can be assumed that it was once an exact copy of the Shogun's taillight trail.
      • There used to be a bug where the Aperture's trails would flicker and fade at the wrong end. This bug was eventually fixed and the trail is now effectively identical to the Shogun's, albeit shorter.
  • This is the first of two vehicles that spawn in purple, the other being the Scorpion.
    • The Desert Crawler also spawns in purple, albeit an unobtainable shade that is closer to Deep Purple.
  • This is the third limited vehicle to spawn in front of the 1M Dealership, with the first being the Snake and second being the Javelin.
  • This is one of the few vehicles to contain carbon fibre, with others being the Javelin, Carbonara, XRK, Successor, Power-1, Scorpion, Manta, Iceborn and Parisian.
  • The Aperture wasn't actually on sale for seven days, going off-sale a few hours after when it was supposed to.
  • This vehicle was teased almost two weeks before its full announcement, with a Twitter reply asking asimo3089 for a new car. asimo3089 cryptically replied with "Two next week."[5]
    • The two vehicles asimo3089 was referring to were later revealed to be the Power-1 as the Season 17 Grand Prize, and the Aperture two days later.
