Overview
The Baton is a free melee weapon added on the 10/6/19 update. It appears to be the police counterpart to the Sword, as it is located in Police Station 2.
The Baton can be equipped and used whilst standing in front of an enemy to deal 15 damage, making it useful during close combat situations, although you risk getting arrested as a criminal by using this against a cop, as it is a melee weapon so you have to get close to the cop.
The Baton's speed boost also makes it useful when covering ground in a rush. This may also be useful when chasing enemies.

Trivia
- It is the second melee weapon to be added into the game, the first being the Sword.
- The Baton is almost identical to the Sword, but does 1 less damage per hit.
- The Baton is the only free melee weapon, in contrast to the $20,000 Sword.
- This Baton only spawns at Police Station 2.
- Like the Taser and Sword, the Baton can be used as a guilt detector on Prisoners. It will do nothing to innocent Prisoners, while damaging guilty ones. This comes in handy when playing as a Police at the Prison, making the finding of arrestable players quicker and easier.
