Not to be confused with the Crater City Airport The Bounty Bay Airport, commonly called the Airport, is one of the main locations in Jailbreak. Added in the Map Expansion Update, it is where the Cargo Plane lands and takes off.
Overview
Structure-wise, the Bounty Bay Airport consists of an ATC Tower, a Terminal Building that has no interior, a cargo loading area, and two Runways. It also has two Hangars. The entire area is mostly surrounded by tall mountains or barbed-wire fences that deal damage when touched. Additionally, the Bounty Bay Airport also spawns the Jet, Stunt, Stallion, Tanker, and formerly, the Firetruck.
The location's main purpose is to be the landing point of the Cargo Plane during the heist's journey around the map. Despite having many popular features located in this area, however, the Bounty Bay Airport receives little traffic, most likely due to being located in a remote area.
The second purpose of this location contains another launch and landing point of the newest transportation aerial vehicle, known as the Private Jet. Players can walk up to the Private Jet and launch to the other airport, known as the Crater City Airport.
Locations
Terminal Building
The Terminal Building is the main building of the Bounty Bay Airport where most players can search around. There is a model jet on a stand outside the front of the Bounty Bay Airport.
ATC Tower
Located to the right of the main building, the ATC Tower is known as a decoration. It consist of 1 floors. Standing next to the door will teleport you inside. It contains multiple desks and computers.
Hangars
Located between the Terminal Building and ATC Tower, the Hangars house the Stunt and the Jet. Players can enter the garage to customize their planes. This allows players without the Premium Garage Gamepass to easily customize their plane, without needing to travel to another garage.
Runways
The Runways are two long roads in the middle of the Bounty Bay Airport, which is of course a runway for aircraft to take off. The Cargo Plane lands and takes off on this runway, while the other runway hosts the Private Jet. Near the runway, there is also a stack of Cargo Crates that indicate when the Cargo Plane is about to arrive. The more crates there are, the sooner the Cargo Plane will arrive.

Trivia
- This location had been speculated ever since Badimo announced that planes were coming in the Summer of 2019.
- The Bounty Bay Airport resembles a civilian passenger International Airport.
- Before one of the hangars became a customization area, players without the Premium Garage Gamepass would have to land their aerial vehicles on the helipad at the Rising City Garage or jam them inside the doors.
- This hangar can be used to spawn and customize land vehicles.
- This is the only location with a blue and white color scheme that is not a Police Station.
- This is currently the only location with two runways, as the Military Base only has one.
- In addition to this, the Bounty Bay Airport is the only location where the Stunt and Jet spawns as the Military Base has only one Jet spawn.
- Prior to the Live 2022 Event Update, a keycard was required to enter the Bounty Bay Airport ATC tower. A Jetpack could also be used to get inside, by getting to the top and dropping in through the hole on the roof.
- There used to be a Camaro that spawned outside the Bounty Bay Airport, but it was since removed.
- On July 14th, 2019, several sections were remodeled as part of the Visitors & Ship Update.
- On October 6th, 2019, the runway was extended with the intention that players could test vehicle speed better.
- The Bounty Bay Airport has received six major changes since its initial release, which is more than any other location.
- As of Oceans/Ships Update, the Jetpack no longer spawns on the top of the control tower, and the Bounty Bay Airport runway was shortened to make way for the Bounty Bridge.
- An operating gate was installed in the 2020 Winter Update to allow the Bank Truck and other vehicles to enter the runaway.
- If you touch the Bounty Bay Airport's gate, you will take damage.
- As of the March 2021 Update, the Airtail spawned here near the customization hangar until its retirement.
- When Badimo renamed Bounty Bay Airport from "International Airport" in the 5 Year Anniversary update, it was revamped, with its model coming from phindr, a Jailbreak YouTuber.
- phindr didn't make this for the r/JailbreakCreations subreddit, instead making it homage video for the Airtail.
