The Carbonara is a limited-time vehicle in Jailbreak. It is the first Pagani-inspired vehicle in Jailbreak, and the first vehicle model by Plasmazilla. Released on December 22nd, 2023, it was only available for 5 days, until December 27th, 2023. It is primarily based of the Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster, with design tweaks and modifications based off of various Pagani models. [1]

The Carbonara was seen in the Unknown Crate when it was still available for purchase. As it has now gone off-sale, the only way to obtain it is through trading.

Overview[]

The Carbonara is a limited supercar. Canonically, it is owned by the CEO, and washed up on shore in the Unknown Crate.

Visually, the Carbonara is a unique car. While being a custom design, the Carbonara is primarily inspired by the Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster, with styling inspirations taken from other Pagani models- notably the front lights of the Utopia, and the rear lights of the Zonda S. Other modifications include custom designed seats, rear fender intake vents, and a custom tri-tip exhaust with blue titanium ends. As the name implies, the Carbonara incorporates carbon fiber extensively within it's design. Some examples of this are on the front and rear aerodynamic surfaces, around the main interior cabin, and surrounding the entire rear and bottom of the car. Aurally, the Carbonara is also unique, with a custom Zonda-inspired sound suite prepared by Xelluent. Due to the Carbonara's long gears, the V12 engine sound primarily focuses around mid to high RPMs when driving around Jailbreak. When decelerating under certain conditions, the Carbonara's exhausts can spit out backfire flames and crackles- the first Jailbreak car to have such a feature.

Customization wise, the Carbonara is one of the most flexible vehicles in Jailbreak. It is the first car with a three-section customizable body, which can all be customized separately from each other. The outermost section falls under the "Body" category within the garage, while the middle section can be configured by the "Second Body" option. The center stripe's color can be customized within the "Interior Detail" section in the Garage. Interior customization is split within the "Interior" and "Seats" category. Lastly, the rear spoiler can be customized and swapped out from the default Carbonara spoiler if desired by the player.

Performance[]

The Carbonara has excellent performance for a Jailbreak vehicle, with comparable performance to the Eclaire or Parisian. It has a well-balanced mix of high top speed, stable handling, and good acceleration. The Carbonara has a special performance tune using a five-speed transmission which uses long gear ratios to simulate a realistic shifting feel when accelerating. With its upgraded turning speed, the Carbonara handles better than most supercars around tight corners and at high speeds. Within Jailbreak's map, the Carbonara can easily reach and maintain a speed of over 260 MPH thanks to its well-balanced stats. Braking, however, is not the Carbonara's strong suit- With below-average braking performance for a supercar, the Carbonara takes a few seconds to come to a complete stop from high speeds and can be considered the Achilles' heel of the car.

Overall, the Carbonara is a very capable supercar with its high top speed, good handling, and consistent acceleration, and can be recommended for mid to long distance trips across the Jailbreak map.

Trivia[]

  • The name "Carbonara" comes from an Italian pasta dish, a reference to the car's Italian origins.
    • This is similar to how Bugatti vehicles in-game are named after French pastries, a reference to the company's French origin.
  • This vehicle is similar to the Agent in that it was teased and kept a secret inside a crate before being revealed and released for players to buy.
  • Just like other limited-time vehicles, the Carbonara could not be traded when it was available; it became tradable once it was off-sale.
    • The reasoning for this was confirmed by asimo3089 on Twitter, where he stated "...you could trade yours away to alts and stack a bunch of them. Make them less rare."
  • The Carbonara has its own spoiler of the same name that is on sale separately in the garage for Cash Icon99,000.
    • It is automatically equipped on the vehicle whenever a player spawns it in, regardless of whether or not it is owned. This is the second vehicle with this trait, preceded by the Shogun.
      • Despite that, when previewing it in the garage, the spoiler is seen replaced with the Classic spoiler, just like all vehicles with customizable spoilers when previewing.
  • phindr, a well-known Jailbreak YouTuber and community creator, contributed to the presentation of the vehicle in the original r/JailbreakCreations subreddit post. [2]
  • The original r/JailbreakCreations post presented the Carbonara's original design before it was modified due to copyright concerns.
  • Similar to other limited vehicles, the Carbonara features a special "LIMITED" plaque on its body, albeit with a distinct font and style.
  • The 08 MOTORS marque can be found imprinted on the Carbonara's engine bay, a reference to the Proto-08. This logo can also be found on the Power-1, Shogun and Longhorn.
  • A bunny logo can be found on the front hood of the Carbonara- this is a reference to Plasmazilla, the Carbonara's creator.
  • The Carbonara features a custom license plate design that is inspired off of a real-life plate, a trait shared by many vehicles, including but not limited to the Goliath and Laviolette.
    • The license plate design on the Carbonara reads "B 4 DMO," referencing the plate format for Indonesian license plates. Additionally, the plate includes the number "04-17," which alludes to Jailbreak's beta release date.

Miscellaneous Trivia[]

  • Excluding player-exclusive or removed vehicles, the Carbonara is the 100th vehicle in Jailbreak.
  • The Carbonara was the last vehicle to be introduced in 2023.
  • The Carbonara is the first Pagani-based car to be added into Jailbreak.
    • Pagani has been one of the most requested car brands to be added into Jailbreak since its release.
    • There are no real-life Pagani cars in Jailbreak however, as the Carbonara is derived from the designs of several different Pagani cars.
  • This is the first vehicle to feature a reactive exhaust that emits a backfire effect when decelerating.
