The Control Tower, previously named the Server Control Station, is a location located in the Rising City in Jailbreak. The building was added in the Passenger Train update.
Overview
Its appearance has been drastically changed multiple times with many updates, with the current version being a tall, orange-colored structure, with many openings at the bottom for players to enter the building.
As of the first day of the Return of 5 Days of Vehicles Update, Gamemodes were removed until further notice. This was done due to the lack of use, and successfully improved game performance slightly. The developers are now working on improved Gamemodes, and have already released a new version of Battle Royale in the Return of Royale Update on 1st September 2023.
Several features could be activated via Robux from the Tower, which are listed below.
Server Options
Server Option | Description |
---|---|
Throw a Party | Everybody in the server will start doing the Orange Justice dance, and a big disco ball will appear in the sky at the center of the map, along with a dance floor by Cheater Island. If a player buys this, their avatar will be thrown in the air by the dance floor. This event only lasts 1 minute. This purchase was based on the "Discobreak" update on April Fools, where Badimo made the map to have a "disco" background and put a disco ball in the middle of the map. |
Spawn 3 Airdrops | 3 Stealth Jets fly through the map, each dropping a crate for players to pick up. |
Spawn a Train (Removed) | 80% chance of spawning a Cargo Train and 20% of spawning a Passenger Train if it is daytime. It is reversed during nighttime and rain, thunderstorms, or snowstorms. The option to spawn a train was removed in the 2023 5 Days of Vehicles Event due to the new robbery opening system. |
Battle Royale (Removed) | Teleports all players in the server in the sky and makes them drop down in a parachute. Simultaneously, several Stealth Jets will spawn, each dropping an airdrop crate giving a random item or weapon (Rocket Launchers have unlimited rockets). A storm will then surround the map. The storm is a large circle of purple rain that closes in on the map to a circular central point. A player must be the last one standing to win and receive ![]() |
Alien Invasion (Removed) | Players will be teleported to random areas of the map, either as an alien or a human. The aliens need to infect all the humans in 10 minutes, while humans need to kill all the aliens and survive for 10 minutes. The aliens get an Uzi and a Pistol. The humans get a Rifle, Shotgun, and a Donut. If a team wins, all players on the team will get ![]() |
Jet Ski Racing (Removed) | Players will be teleported to the lake near the Rising City Criminal Base on Jet Skis and will have to traverse through the map and pass through light blue colored rings. Once a player has passed through the final ring, the ring will disappear and will be awarded ![]() |
2020 Live Event Replay (Removed) | Owners of private servers could replay the 2020 Live Event on their server for free. Once a private server owner started it, it replayed 90% of the event until the entire screen was covered. Then, a notification would appear reading "Event over. Restart your server :) Thanks for replaying." Badimo said it would be removed after two weeks after the Live Event, however, it was only removed two months later in the Cargo Ship Robbery Update. |

Trivia
- If a player were to buy all the now-removed gamemodes at once, it would cost
174.
- If a player died or joined during the Battle Royale Gamemode, they will be teleported to this building. They'd remained locked inside the building until the gamemode ended.
- Before the 2B Visits Update, the placeholder for the Server Control Station was a plain red building. After the update, the red building sunk and was replaced by a blue building, that would also later be destroyed by a tornado in the April Live Event. It was then replaced by an orange building.
- As of November 27th, 2023, there are two currently available server options in Jailbreak.
- If a Passenger Train is bought here, the armored cart (with the briefcases) will open as soon as it spawns, instead of needing to be stopped at the Train Station.
- Anyone could've start gamemodes in public servers, but it required the majority of players on the server to vote "Yes" (depending on the gamemode) and the amount of Robux to buy tokens. Before that, Tokens (for Gamemodes) were needed to activate it, and they were only allowed in private servers.
- If a user throws a party, players will dance no matter what. If they enter a vehicle where they are visible, like the Black Hawk or vehicles with detailed interiors, they will see themselves dancing. Even if the players equip items, they will still be dancing. They will not stop dancing until the minute is over.
- If the party ends while a player is in a vehicle, they will be frozen in the dance move. This is only visible in some vehicles.
- In the Melee Update, the name of the tower was renamed from "Server Control" to "Control Tower".
- The 2020 Live event replay is the only control in the Control Tower that was limited.
- Gamemodes have been removed since the first day of the Return of 5 Days of Vehicles update, mostly because Gamemodes were rarely used.
- In the Season 11 mid-season update, Airdrops spawning was changed from 10 to 3 and the price increased from
50 to
99 due to Airdrops getting revamped.
- In the 2023 5 Days of Vehicles Event, the option to spawn trains was removed due to the new robbery system.
