Not to be confused with the similarly named Crown vehicle, or the Jewelry Store, located in Rising City.

The Crown Jewel (formerly Casino) is a heist located in Crater City, being introduced during the 5 Year Anniversary Live Update. It is the 13th robbery to be added to Jailbreak and is one of the more demanding heists in the game.

Overview

A basic map of the Ground Floor.

A basic map of the Ground Floor.

The Crown Jewel consists of 4 floors. Below are the floors and what they have, arranged from the highest to the lowest.

Roof

The Roof, being the only floor that is on the outside, features a pool, several chairs, a zipline, and the elevator exit. The entire floor is painted black and features a roof covering the exit to the elevator. You cannot call the elevator on this floor.

Security

The Security is where computers to disable the vault’s security are located. It has multiple spotlights outside the elevator and multiple lasers at the back of the room. There are rows of computers that the player can hack to open the vault. A window overlooks the room, which allows players to look into and from the room.

Ground

The Ground Floor (also dubbed the Nightclub) features a foyer, multiple couches, an ATM, and a disco floor. Multiple flashing lights are seen all over the room and change colors constantly. The keypad-restricted door that gives access to the robbery is located at the far end of the room, and the code to open this door can appear in multiple different places around the room. The elevator will automatically return to this floor if no other floors are calling the elevator for a period of time.

Vault

The Vault is the lowest floor of the entire building, and is where players collect the money. It starts in a reception-esque area with multiple lasers moving up and down, and is surrounded by glass windows that can be broken. Behind this room is the main corridor leading to the vault itself. The vault room is a large, circular room with a crown in the middle of the room surrounded by lasers, and has subrooms holding additional cash for players to grab.

The Ground Floor and The Roof are always accessible whether or not the Crown Jewel is open for robbery, but the code to open the keypad door will only appear when the Crown Jewel is open for robbery.

Robbing the Crown Jewel

Entering the keypad-restricted door

When the Crown Jewel opens, players must find a 4-digit code for the keypad. The code is randomized and appears in one of many different spots, such as behind the front desk. When it is found, Input the code into the keypad door at the end of the Crown Jewel.

Disabling the vault security

Enter the elevator and press the floor button marked "SECURITY".

Leave the elevator and avoid the spotlights and lasers on the Security floor. After that, approach and hack the computers until a red screen appears which should prompt you to disable vault security, hold for half a second, a sound effect will play and then the computer screen will turn white. After disabling the security, the heist truly begins and a countdown of 3 minutes and 30 seconds will begin. Beware that touching any spotlights or lasers after disabling the security, triggers the Crown Jewel’s alarm system and notifies the Police with the message: “Someone set off the Crown Jewel alarms!”

If you don't disable the security and go to the vault immediately, you will be stopped by 4 lasers blocking the elevator. These lasers have collision and cannot be bypassed unless you disable the vault security.

Looting

Return to the elevator after avoiding the spotlights and lasers. Press the button to call the elevator to your floor, and enter the elevator, pressing the button labelled "VAULT".

Once in the Vault floor, avoid the lasers and approach one of the 6 windows on both sides to break through them. Continue through the hallway past the glass and doors until the end of the corridor, where the vault awaits. Be aware of all the moving lasers. Crack the vault by changing the direction of rotation when the indicator lights become white, or else progress will reset. After successfully cracking the vault, enter the room and collect the money. There are also several smaller vaults on the room's perimeter that are opened in the same way as the main vault door with extra money behind them.

Escaping

Once satisfied with the amount of money collected, proceed back to the elevator. From here, there are two options for escape:

Parachute

Enter the elevator and select the Roof. You can either head left and jump off the building towards the train tracks, or you can head right towards the pool and jump off the building towards the main entrance. This is a good option for escape as Police are less likely to be camping the roof.

Zipline

Enter the elevator and select the Roof, then head left and interact with the Zipline. Ziplines were introduced in The Jewelry Update and were first added to the roof of the Jewelry Store, but were recently added to the roof of the Crown Jewel. Hopping on the Zipline will take you on top of the Mesa Rock between the Crown Jewel and Desert Hideout, in which a Desert Crawler can be found near the exit of the Zipline. This is another good option, but lengthy due to the long travel distance between the roof and the Mesa Rock.

Ground Floor

Enter the elevator and select the Ground floor. Head back through the keypad door and run for the main entrance. This option is riskier as Police can easily camp this floor and can camp right outside the exit.

After exiting the Crown Jewel, make your way to the Volcano Base and approach the Collector, where the money will be awarded.

If the timer ends, all players will be teleported to the entrance of the Crown Jewel, but they will not lose their collected money. Players who are in the vault that somehow manage to avoid the teleport will be met with the floor becoming overloaded with lasers, resulting in a swift death.

Code Locations

All of the current locations a code can appear

All of the current locations a code can appear. (Black dots covered=Removed locations)

The location of the code varies, changing every time the heist opens. These range from easy to find, like behind the main counter, to difficult to find, possibly being tucked away into the corner of a room. When the robbery closes, the code will despawn.

  • Behind the counter (Two sides)
  • Under the crowns of the red wall (beside counter)
  • On the screen next to the counter
  • On a black side near the keypad door

Tips and Tricks

  • When robbing with other players, under no circumstances should you use public chat to announce the code for the Crown Jewel, since doing so will often attract the attention of the Police while also notifying them of the code, allowing them to enter the Crown Jewel easily and arrest the criminals. Typing “/t” or “/team” in the chat before the actual content of the message allows you to send the code via Team Chat, where only players on the same team as you, are be able to see the message.
  • Once you disable the security, you have 3 minutes and 30 seconds before the security system reactivates and closes the Crown Jewel. You should move quickly to ensure that you can escape before time runs outs. Touching a laser will alert the police but won't reactivate the security system.
  • Taking the roof is an easier escape, as the Police are less likely camp on the roof. However, the ground exit is faster for those whose car spawning cooldown is still active, and must instead return to their own vehicle or the Ray 9 which spawns at the entrance.
    • Escaping through The Roof exit also allows you to parachute down to the entrance or zipline straight to the nearby Mesa rock.
  • It is highly recommended, as with any robbery, to bring a Forcefield Launcher or Donut as healing items, as well as a few guns to fight back, should any Police appear to arrest you.
  • As a Police officer, a good strategy to arrest criminals robbing the Crown Jewel is to wait in the elevator and arrest unsuspecting criminals going into it.
    • This strategy becomes less viable if many criminals are robbing it together.
  • If a Police officer is waiting in the elevator, summon the elevator to your level, fall back to a safe distance, and kill the Police within as soon as the elevator doors open.
  • Try to avoid robbing this heist in a laggy/glitchy server, as the moving lasers may bug out and kill you easier.
  • It is possible to rob the Crown Jewel if there is less than a minute on the timer, as for some reason if the robbery ends when you are in it you will not lose the money you collected, you will just be teleported to the entrance.
  • There was an exploit where C4 could be used to "lock" the main Crown Jewel door. To do this, simply throw down a stick of C4 on the wall of the revolving door, making sure it is perpendicular to the wall. This will stop the door from rotating, meaning that nobody can enter the Crown Jewel.
    • This was fixed in the 2024 Winter Update.
    • It is still possible to prevent players from entering by wedging a sufficiently small vehicle between the wall and the revolving door, stopping it from rotating, although doing so will likely cause other criminals to become annoyed or even angered at you.
      • This is commonly done with a Volt.
      • Players can still enter by going into first-person and squeezing through the gap between the wall and revolving door.

Trivia

  • Originally, collecting the money required players to go to the Volcano Base, but it did not require them to visit the Collector.
  • This is the first new robbery in the Crater City map expansion, with the second being the Mansion.
    • This is the first robbery overall in Crater City, with the second and third being the Mansion and Crater City Bank respectively.
  • On the "ROOF" floor, there is no orange button to call the elevator, so that players cannot bypass the keypad door by entering through the roof.
    • Criminals can still enter through the Roof if there is a player already in the Crown Jewel lift who pressed the button for the Roof.
    • In real life, this would be a major design flaw and counter-productive, as anybody who decides to go on the roof will be stuck there if the elevator goes down. On top of that, there is no available stairwell in the building, meaning the elevator is the only way to move between floors.
  • It is quite easy to drive a vehicle onto the roof, as the sloped side of the building acts as a ramp.
  • This is the only Heist to have a functional elevator in it, the other being the Mansion.
  • The heist as a whole is a close reference to The Diamond Casino Heist from GTA Online.
    • The most notable reference is the design of the vault, appearing extremely similar to the Mantrap and Vault Access from The Diamond Casino.
  • Despite being a casino and nightclub, there is barely any casino equipment inside, such as a lack of slot machines and poker tables, making it only a nightclub.
    • The reason, as stated by asimo3089, is due to his concerns with the Roblox TOS, even though "everybody is doing it"[1].
      • However, as of the Season 11 update, there are slot machines inside the Crown Jewel lounge. These are purely for decoration and are not interactive.
      • This has since been removed due to Roblox age guidelines as of October 22nd, 2024.[2]
  • Despite being a robbery, the lounge is still accessible even when the robbery is closed. Additionally, being in the security room after the robbery closes does not kick you from the robbery, making it a potential camping spot.
  • The crown at the center of the vault room is possibly the Crown Jewel's prized possession, despite being only worth Cash Icon750.
  • Sometimes if a criminal attempts to crack the vault on mobile, the cracking will suddenly stop instead of rotating when they attempt to change the direction of the cracking when the lights become white. This makes progress reset
    • Rarely even when players manage to finish cracking the vault, the vault door will not open.
  • There is a known issue that causes players to fall down the elevator shaft, causing them to get stuck.
  • The lasers that move around the crown changes speed based on the player's fps. If the player's fps is slow, the lasers get faster, and vise versa.
  • The noise which plays when players cut open the glass in the Vault is the same as that of the Jewelry Store.
  • Previously, the Crown Jewel would kill you by sending unavoidable lasers throughout the vault’s floor if the timer runs out. However, as of the Fall 2023 Update, the Crown Jewel will now teleport you out of the robbery instead of killing you.
    • The lasers will still load in on the vault's floor, just in case someone manages to avoid getting teleported.
  • This is the only robbery currently with a rename, from the Casino to being the Crown Jewel.
  • In the 2023 Fall Update, the Crown Jewel has been classified to Robbery Group C, opening alongside the Crater City Bank with the new robbery group open system.
    • The Oil Rig was soon added to Robbery Group C in the Season 20 Update.
    • As part of the Revamped Robbery Update, the Crown Jewel now opens randomly instead of opening alongside other robberies with the removal of the Robbery Group system.
