The Escape Bot is a community-created aerial vehicle in Jailbreak modeled by HAPPYHONGO. This vehicle is not garage-spawnable.[1]

Overview

The Escape Bot is a vehicle that can be obtained from the Mansion Robbery Bonus Roll[2]. Players have a 15% chance of rolling it.

It can be found underneath the Military Base, along with the other Level 4 bases, such as the Criminal Lair and Secret Agent Base.[3]

The Escape Bot appears to be similar to the Egg Mobile that Doctor Eggman rides on in the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

Performance

In many regards, the Escape Bot is basically a helicopter with a worse carrying capacity and less health. However, its smaller hitbox and easy maneuverability makes it harder to hit than other aerial vehicles and better in some situations. It also has the added benefit that criminals don't need to hijack the vehicle in order to use it, as it is not considered a police vehicle by default.

Due to its spawn location in the Secret Agent Base and small size, it is a very convenient vehicle for robbery/robbery prevention of the Cargo Ship. However, it can only take two direct shots from the turrets, so players would want to be swift with their maneuvers. Its speed and acceleration also allow it to more easily connect its rope to the crates than some faster moving vehicles.

Reverse Speed

Comparable to the Helicopter, topping out at 101 MPH. However, due to the Escape Bot being an aerial vehicle, it has the ability to fly over any obstacle, making it faster overall in most cases. It's tied up with the UFO. The reverse speed is same as its regular speed. This has the advantage of flying in reverse with the same amount of time. The Escape Bot is among the top of the tier of reverse speed, beating the La Matador and Eclaire, and comparable to the Torpedo. It's tied up with the Helicopter. But slightly slower than the Scorpion.

The Escape Bot launches decently fast, comparable to many low and medium-tier vehicles. It challenges many medium and some high-tier vehicles. It's tied up with the Helicopter. It can reach 47 MPH. The acceleration is decently fast, being able to accelerate to top speed in fewer than 10 seconds. It's tied up with the Helicopter.

3s
Comparable to the Little Bird and Crew Capsule. Since it is so small though, the Escape Bot handles better between obstacles and buildings. The max altitude is slightly lower than the Helicopter, and behind the Jet, UFO, and the Black Hawk. Despite this, this still allows for enough height for all conventional uses.
Braking

Durability
Terrible
1s
The braking is great, but neither the best nor the worst. It challenges many low and medium-tier vehicles, and some higher-tier vehicles. It's tied up with the Helicopter. The Escape Bot is very fragile, only able to tank two continuous shots from the Sniper or Cargo Ship turrets. It only has 50 HP and when disabled, it is immobilised for 15 seconds.

Trivia

  • This vehicle was originally submitted at the r/JailbreakCreations subreddit for Season 13: Super Villainous, and was initially named "Final Phase"[4]. The same name appeared on the vehicle's revelation post on Twitter[2], but it eventually changed to "Escape Bot" in-game for unknown reasons.
    • This is the only vehicle to have its name be entirely different from its announcement upon release.
      • The Delorean, Parisian and XRK had spelling errors in their announcement tweets, but their intended names were not changed.
  • Contrary to popular belief, the Escape Bot is not based on the Egg Mobile from Sonic the Hedgehog series, but is instead mainly inspired by Dr Khal's Robot from Cuphead, as HAPPYHONGO revealed in an interview conducted by Noob Freak[5].
  • This vehicle's engine sound is known as a Shepard tone, a note that seems like it keeps on rising, even though it does not.
    • A Shepard tone can lead people to Shepard Madness, which is a condition where if someone listens to a Shepard tone for too long, they will feel sick or dizzy. Players who experience any of these symptoms should stop using the vehicle, mute the in-game audio, switch to another one, or take a break from the game.
  • This is the first and only vehicle exclusive to a Robbery Bonus Roll.
  • This is the second vehicle to be obtainable through a spin, with the first being the Shell Classic and third being the Fiasco.
  • Every stat outside of its durability is considerably the same as the Helicopter.
  • Even though it only has one seat, being the Driver Seat, you can also have a "passenger" by dropping the vehicle's rope.
    • The roped passenger will always be ejected if the driver toggles the rope with them being on it, instead of being placed into a passenger seat. This is due to the fact that there is no passenger seat on the vehicle.
  • When shot down by the Cargo Ship turrets, the Escape Bot will not put its driver underwater, making it useful as it will prevent drowning damage.
  • Despite being a permanent vehicle addition to the game with several spawn points on the map, the Escape Bot has the "LIMITED" tag on its Garage card.
    • This trait is only shared with safes-exclusive vehicles, although they do not spawn anywhere on the map.

Miscellaneous Trivia

  • The Escape Bot is the first community vehicle creation to be made by HAPPYHONGO, alongside the Crown.
    • HAPPYHONGO also owned the JBDelorean Twitter account, which played a large role in adding the Delorean to Jailbreak but did not create the car.
    • Both of HAPPYHONGO's creations are related to the CEO, with one being gained by defeating the CEO and obtaining it through a bonus roll, and the other being the CEO's personal vehicle.
  • The Escape Bot is the fourth vehicle to have 3 spawns, with the others being the Helicopter, Jet and Stallion.
  • The Escape Bot is the vehicle with the most model appearances in the game with two appearances, tying with the pre-revamped Jet and pre-revamped Monster Truck, The second most are the Airtail and Badger. They all cannot be interacted with.
