The Interrogator is a police SUV in Jailbreak that was released in the Season 3 Mid-Season Update. It costs 30,000, and can be found at the Prison Police Station parking lot and Rising City Police Station. Prior to the 2023 Prison Update, the Interrogator previously spawned in the now-removed Police HQ.

Overview

In contrast to most Jailbreak cars, the Interrogator is a relatively detailed vehicle model. The Interrogator features a unique side decal, various objects in its interior, such as a computer and Donut, bull bars on the front grille, and lights surrounding the body. As it spawns at police stations, prisoners and criminals must hijack the car before driving it. It replaces the retired SUV.

Performance

The Interrogator is a decent vehicle for only 30,000. While its acceleration is quite slow, the top speed is faster than that of many sports cars, which allows it to catch up to them in chases. Handling is decent and is controllable with no serious amount of effort, but brakes are somewhat weak.

Overall, the Interrogator is a good choice for new police players. It spawns at convenient locations, and is capable enough to catch average criminals, especially with a good PIT Maneuver. But for criminal players, this vehicle is impractical. It needs to be hijacked before driving, and is not suitable for quick getaways. It is generally identical to its predecessor, the SUV, but there are some slight differences, for better or for worse.

The Interrogator has a top speed of 161 MPH, which is faster than its predecessor and ties with Cybertruck. However, it is behind the Celestial and Jackrabbit. The reverse speed is average, going at 48 MPH, which is slightly above Roadster and Agent.

The Interrogator has a launch speed of 49 MPH, which is decent for a heavy SUV. Comparable to the Sentinel. Its acceleration rate is slow, allowing quicker cars to get away. Once again, it competes with the Camaro and Pickup. But when driving down slope, it increases it's acceleration a bit. However, yet again loses to its predecessor.

The Interrogator handles very well due to it's low top speed and high grip. Comparable to the Beam Hybrid. The Interrogator can off-road very well, but struggles with steep slopes but to it's poor launch. Similar to the SUV.

The Interrogator takes around 2.5 seconds to brake, which is once again comparable to the SUV. The Interrogator has 125 HP, so it's a pretty tough vehicle. It's on par with the Cybertruck and the Raptor.

Trivia

  • It appears to be based on the second-generation Ford Police Interceptor Utility, which is a police variant of the sixth-gen Ford Explorer.
  • For a short time after initial release, the car would slow down and make strange engine sounds and camera movements upon reaching top speed. This was due to broken gear ratios.
  • The Interrogator appears to be the true successor to the SUV, due to its many similarities, however, Badimo did not mention anything about the Interrogator being the SUV's actual replacement.
  • By default, this has a stock license plate that reads out as "G-042117". This is a reference to the date (in American format) that Jailbreak was released, which was in 04/21/17 (April 21, 2017). The meaning of the "G" is unknown though.

Miscellaneous Trivia

  • This is the third SUV in Jailbreak, first being the SUV, and second being the Surus.
  • This is the second vehicle that requires hijacking when playing as a Criminal or Prisoner, alongside several other vehicles that spawn at Police Stations. Before the May 2021 Update, the only vehicle with this feature was the Helicopter.
  • This is the third Ford-branded vehicle in Jailbreak, after the Steed and Raptor.
  • The Interrogator has a Donut and laptop inside the interior. They are purely cosmetic and players cannot interact with them.
