The Jackrabbit is a seasonal vehicle in Jailbreak. Modeled by oof_ed,[1] it was featured as the Level 8 prize of Season 9: A New Journey.

The Jackrabbit could be obtained by reaching Level 8 through contracts, unlike previous newer seasonal vehicles which could only be obtained by reaching Level 10. It could be found at the Season Hypezone during Season 9: A New Journey.

Overview[]

The Jackrabbit is based off the First Generation Mazda MX-5,[2] but heavily modified for off-roading. As described by Jailbreak's developer team, Badimo, it is "an excellent off-roader with a spare tire, massive headlamp array, and working doors."[1]

Attempting to buy the vehicle will give a notification that reads that this vehicle is from another season, as with other seasonal vehicles. Owners of the vehicle can still spawn in the Jackrabbit using a Garage or using the Premium Garage gamepass, like any other seasonal vehicle.

Performance[]

The Jackrabbit is decent for a seasonal vehicle. It has great off-road performance and a good top speed. However, it is the fourth-slowest seasonal vehicle, only faster than the Crew Capsule, Celsior, and Tiny Toy. Nonetheless, its performance beats those of many mid-tier vehicles.

Due to it's relatively low speed the vehicle has very good handling, being able to easily turn quickly and smoothly, and can be controlled at any speed. It is comparable to the Stallion. The vehicle has a very high ground clearance due to its high suspension, being able to drive up relatively steep hills. However, this also makes it somewhat unstable at high speeds. It also has a hard time climbing certain things, like steeper hills.

Trivia[]

  • This is the first contract-based seasonal vehicle to not require Level 10 to obtain.
    • The Jackrabbit requires Level 8 to obtain instead for easier obtainability.[3]
      • The Mighty was available as a level 6 prize in Season 3: Looking Back, but it was available for purchase beforehand.
  • The Jackrabbit was chosen as the vehicle prize for Season 9 before Badimo started taking in prize submissions.[4]
    • It was speculated by many that one of oof_ed's creations was chosen, since asimo3089 has expressed many times that he has always wanted to add one of oof_ed's vehicles into the game. The reason behind this is that asimo3089 sees oof_ed's models as notably well-made.[5]
  • A small circular image of a Grinch and Shrek combination can be seen on the Jackrabbit's model. This is a reference to oof_ed's Twitter profile image.
  • The luggage on the vehicle's roof shows the spritesheet for any currently-equipped texture.
  • This is the second vehicle with pop-up headlights after the Deja and before the Shogun and Wedge, however they stay static.
