The Laviolette is a safe-exclusive vehicle in Jailbreak based on the 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz. Modeled by Zewo_Tsu,[1] it is only available in Street Safes. Being of epic rarity, players have a 5% chance of getting either this or the Flame Spitter Wing. It was added on the second day of the 2023 5 Days of Vehicles event.

Overview[]

The Laviolette is a sleek space-age muscle car with chrome accents and rear tailfins. The front of the vehicle is dominated by grilles, with four headlights on both sides. The car's surface is almost flat, save for a canopy housing a driver and passenger seat. Its real-life counterpart is the Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz.

Performance[]

The Laviolette performs surprisingly well for a classic car. It does not excel in any aspects of performance, but its top speed is only slightly lower than low tier supercars, like the La Matador, and is comparable to the Shell Classic, another safe vehicle that is much more expensive to obtain.

The chance of getting the Laviolette in Street Safes is low, however. On average, it would take a player 1 in 40 safes to open (2.5% chance), costing Cash Icon600,000. With that money, players can purchase better performing vehicles, like the Roadster and Eclaire. Similar to the Fiasco, it is not recommended for new players to spend money on safes trying to obtain this vehicle, though it is ultimately a fun and decent car to drive.

It is worth noting that the lowriding effect of the Laviolette causes the vehicle's rear to scrape the ground, which can affect many aspects of performance, for better or worse.

Trivia[]

  • This vehicle is the first to feature ground-scraping functionality, which is a staple of lowrider vehicles.
  • According to the creator, Zewo_Tsu, the current Laviolette is a "complete remodel of [her] original Laviolette"[2][3] that was submitted previously.
  • If a player enters the Laviolette as driver when the ground scraping feature is activated, the player will enter but he/she cannot drive and has to walk, and cannot exit or spawn vehicles. The only way to fix this is to reset character or enter a Garage and spawn a vehicle

Miscellaneous Trivia[]

  • This is the first Cadillac-based vehicle to be added to Jailbreak.
  • The Laviolette is a mix between the Eldorado Biarritz and the 1959 Cadillac Coupe de Ville, due to the Eldorado being a convertible in real life and the Laviolette model borrowing a hard top based on the Coupe.
  • At one point, the Laviolette was too detailed for Badimo to add, which forced the removal of some interior details[4].
  • This is the third vehicle to be available via safes following the Shell Classic and Fiasco and before the Hammerhead.
    • The Model 3 is also available in the Street safe, but is not exclusive to it.
  • Theoretically, if a player reaches Level 8 from a season, one could obtain the Laviolette for completely free.
    • This could also apply to Season Pass holders that reach Level 5, or VIP gamepass owners that earn daily free Street Safes, but those methods require gamepass purchases that involve the spending of GoldenRobuxRobux.
  • This is one of the few vehicles in Jailbreak to feature a custom license plate design, alongside the Parisian, Goliath and Striker.
    • The "APR" and "JB 17" on the plate reference Jailbreak's release month and year respectively, and the "R2142017" references Jailbreak's release date in the European format.
  • This is the fourth vehicle modeled by Zewo_Tsu, with the others being the Agent, Parisian and the revamped Stunt.
    • Within those, this is the second vehicle modeled by her to be featured in the 2023 5 Days of Vehicles, with the other being the revamp of the Stunt.
