Not to be confused with the Monster Truck, the vehicle purchased with cash at the 1M Dealership.

The OG Monster Truck is a seasonal vehicle featured as the grand prize for Season 21: Rewind.[1] As its name suggests, the vehicle mimics the pre-revamp Monster Truck.

The OG Monster Truck could have been obtained by reaching Level 10 through Contracts. It could have been found at the Season Hypezone for the duration of Season 21.

Overview[]

The OG Monster Truck is heavily based on the pre-revamp Monster Truck, which means it has advantages and disadvantages similar to the original's. However, unlike the Monster Truck, which costs Cash Icon1,000,000, this vehicle was obtainable for free by reaching Level 10 in Season 21: Rewind.

This vehicle is one of the two OG vehicles, together with the OG La Matador. The OG Monster Truck has better off-roading and acceleration, but loses to the revamped Monster Truck in speed, reverse speed and launch. This retro vehicle from 2019 is an overall decent seasonal vehicle, having advantages and disadvantages compared to the present day Monster Truck.

Performance[]

The OG Monster Truck has similar, if not identical, stats to the pre-revamp Monster Truck. It is quite good for a seasonal vehicle, as it is essentially a free Cash Icon1,000,000 vehicle.

It has similar strengths and weaknesses to the current version, but is not identical. The OG Monster Truck has a slightly lower top speed and launch than its current version, but its off roading is much better. Due to its massive wheels, the OG Monster Truck very rarely struggles with terrain and obstacles, being able to take shortcuts many other vehicles cannot.

Due to its incredibly high suspension, it is also very difficult to PIT maneuver, making it great for criminals.

Overall, the OG Monster Truck is a great seasonal vehicle.

The OG Monster Truck has a handling similar to most other vehicles, with a turn speed of 1.4, the default value. The OG Monster Truck has extreme ground clearance that no other vehicle can compare to. It never struggles with any hill or minor obstacle and is an extremely smooth off roader, and it can even drive over vehicles. Compared to its modern version, it is significantly less bouncy and a lot more smooth, but it does tend to flip on ramps and its wheels might get stuck in the ground when climbing.

Trivia[]

  • Unlike the modern Monster Truck and the pre-revamp version, the OG Monster Truck does not spawn with the Money Rims equipped.
  • Under the original tweet announcing the revamped Monster Truck, a user commented "rip og monstertruck" [sic]. The official Badimo account replied, "He'll be back... ⏰👀".[2]
    • These tweets were posted on June 30th, 2022, just under 2 years before the reveal of the OG Monster Truck as Season 21's Grand Prize on April 17th, 2024. [3]
      • Despite how long ago it was, it seems this was planned from the initial Tweet by Badimo, with asimo3089 stating, "This took so much longer to materialize than I dreamed..." but that even from that day, he was thinking, "Well, we'll have a live event in 2024...".[4]
  • This vehicle, alongside the OG La Matador, marks the first time a vehicle has been "un-revamped" in any way, as all other revamped vehicles have never been reverted, and no other "OG" variants have ever been released.
