The Parisian, or Parisian EXP-1, is a limited-time vehicle in Jailbreak. It was modeled by Zewo_Tsu, and is based on the Peugeot 9x8.[1]

Costing 720,000, the Parisian was available only for four days, from February 17th-21st, 2023.[2]

Overview

Being a quite the unique car when compared to other vehicles in Jailbreak, the Parisian features an incredibly loud and powerful engine, as well as amazing acceleration, making it an excellent car for robbing and escaping police. It was released during the Parisian Exp-1 Update during Season 14: For The Champions.

It used to be found on a pedestal on the lake next to Cheater Island and near Rising City. This was the same location as where the Torero spawned during its obtainability period from September 3rd 2021 until September 12th 2021.

Performance

The Parisian has some of the best vehicle stats in the game, featuring an extremely high top speed, great handling, and a very powerful launch and acceleration. However, it has slow braking for a hypercar, and frequently flips over terrain and at high speeds due to its low ground clearance.

The Parisian is mainly recognizable for its high top speed and excellent handling. It can beat the Concept in top speed, but loses to the Javelin, Torpedo and Brulee. It has decent reverse speed compared to most cars, though in comparison to other cars at its level, it is not as impressive. It has a powerful launch, being able to accelerate to around to about 80 MPH in a second. It has amazing acceleration, and can reach its top speed quite quickly. It is extremely agile, making it excellent at turning and moving around the map. It is mild at off-roading, but for a track-focused prototype race-car, its off-roading is decent. At low suspension, going over bridges and going down slopes can cause the car to stop or bounce at bumps.

The Parisian has an amazing top speed of 317 MPH. It only loses to the Eclaire, Carbonara, Javelin, Torpedo, Jet Ski, Brulee, Iceborn and Scorpion. This makes the Parisian the 6th fastest car and 7th fastest vehicle overall. It slightly beats the Concept and places firmly ahead of the Beignet. The reverse speed caps out at 77 MPH. It is faster than most cars, but is slower than the Concept, Volt, Beignet, Iceborn and M12 Molten.

The Parisian can reach 73 MPH within a second, making it have one of the best launches in the game. However, it loses to the Concept and Torero. Comparable to the MCL36. The Parisian sports great, consistent acceleration, similarly to the Javelin. It only falls behind the Roadster and Volt.

With a turning radius of 1.68 and a phenomenal grip practically gluing the vehicle to the ground, The Parisian has some of the best handling in the entire game. It is easy to control at all speeds and ties with the Snake, Roadster and Proto-08. Off-roading is fair for a track-based supercar, being able to traverse hills and smaller mountains. Due to its rather low ground clearance, it tends to bounce even on high suspension. This can be countered with monster suspension.

The braking ability is fair taking into account its speed, coming to a full stop from most speeds at around 2 seconds, which is rather lacking for its tier. However, because of this, the Parisian has excellent high-speed cornering capabilities. The Parisian has 75 HP, which is below average, and the standard disable duration of 7.5 seconds. Identical to the Concept and many other hypercars.

Trivia

  • The Parisian has two garage customisation pieces related to it: The Exp-1 Rims (Soccer Ball Challenge reward) and Parisian Tires (12,500).
    • This makes it the vehicle with the most customisations related to it.
  • The vehicle's name in its announcement tweet was named "Perisian EXP-1". However, the proposed name and the name in its trailer was "Parisian EXP-1".
    • It is most likely a developer oversight, as a similar thing happened to the Delorean, which was mispelled as "Deloreon" as well as the XRK.
  • The Parisian was originally submitted with the name "Parisian EXP-1", but since "EXP-1" never appeared in the garage menu, purchasing GUI or anywhere else in the game, the vehicle's name was changed to just the "Parisian" instead.
    • The creator, Zewo_Tsu, still prefers to call this vehicle the "Parisian EXP-1".
    • The EXP-1 Rims were released in the following Crew Battles Update, and the Parisian Tires in the Prison Bus Update. Both were also Zewo_Tsu's creation.
  • The Parisian has a unique white smoke effect when drifting. It is shared with the Proto-08, and is similar to the Deja's.
    • Previously, the Deja was the only vehicle to have this ability.
  • The Parisian tends to flip over on rough terrain, similar to the Eclaire, due to the lower suspension.
    • However, as of the addition of the "Monster" suspension height, added in the Crew Battles Update, this is much less common, assuming you have that suspension equipped.
  • The Parisian was originally a Reddit submission for the grand prize of Season 14: For The Champions. The vehicle was highly rated, and so due to widespread player requests for it to be added into Jailbreak when it was not chosen as the grand prize for Season 14, Badimo added the Parisian into Jailbreak as a limited-time, high-performance hypercar to tide players over.
  • The Parisian has one of the loudest engine sounds in the game, being comparable to the NASCAR, NASCAR Free and MCL36.
  • Like the MCL36, NASCAR, and NASCAR Free the Parisian features various decals and phrases on the car.
    • There is text on the rear of the Parisian that says "REAR WINGS ARE FOR LOSERS". It is a reference to the Peugeot 9x8’s design, which allows it to run without rear wings in real life, unlike other hypercars.
  • The Parisian, Goliath, Carbonara, and Laviolette are the only cars in Jailbreak to not have Badimo license plates. Instead, on the Parisian, the license plate is black with yellow stripes, white text and reads "PARISIAN" on the bottom.

Miscellaneous trivia

  • The Parisian is the second vehicle based on a Peugeot ever to be added, behind the Blade.
    • However it is the only one currently in the game.
  • The Parisian is the second shortest-lived vehicle in the game at 4 days of availability, only after Javelin's 2 days.
  • This is the second vehicle created by Zewo_Tsu, with the first being the Agent, the third being the revamped Stunt, and the fourth being the Laviolette.
  • The Parisian couldn't be traded until after it went off-sale, a trait shared with other limited-time vehicles.
  • The Parisian is the second vehicle in the game that features an engine startup sound, with the MCL36 being the first.
  • The Parisian is the third vehicle to have an accompanying garage item, with the first being the Volt 4X4 and the second being the Shell Mark-5
  • The in-game Parisian is modelled on the 2023 version of the car, as a rear wing was added to the real-life version for the 2024 WEC.
