Overview

The Piggy Crossover was a collaboration between the popular Roblox games Jailbreak and Piggy. Starting from the Nukes Update of May 3, 2020, each game added content from the other one, with Jailbreak's being in the form of Piggy, an anthropomorphic pig seen as the game's mascot. Upon being killed by her, players would be awarded Piggy-themed reward rims, and Piggy's being a police polar bear skin (Poley) obtained from a laser obstacle course. This event was limited time for Piggy, but remained in Jailbreak for a while.

The Piggy enemy in Jailbreak appeared in the Sewers from 9:30 PM to 11:45 PM in-game time. It was armed with a baseball bat, and attacked players with it when they got close. After about six hits, players would be killed and earned the exclusive "Piggy" rims as a reward. These rims appear as the head of Piggy and protrude from the wheels in a dome-like shape. Players cannot damage Piggy with any weapon. After 11:45 PM in-game time, Piggy would de-spawn. In a tweet, asimo3089 mentioned that Piggy can climb ladders and therefore can exit the sewer.

The Piggy Crossover was removed in the February 2021 Update, meaning the Piggy Rims can no longer be obtained.

Trivia

  • The ROBLOX game 'Piggy' was heavily inspired by the popular horror mobile game Granny.
  • The Piggy enemy was the first AI NPC in Jailbreak. NPCs such as asimo3089, badcc, and the collectors are simple models that do not move, disqualifying them from being AI.
    • The Dogs were the next AI NPCs added into the game.
  • Piggy played the same tune from Piggy when close to players.
  • Piggy could not be damaged or killed by any weapon, rendering her invincible. However, if shot with the Pistol, she would turn away from the player momentarily, similar to how shooting her in Piggy with a pistol will cause her to be inactive for 20 seconds.
  • The time Piggy spawns in (9:30) is a reference to the time the antagonist spawns in every match in 'Piggy', which is when the timer reaches 9 minutes and 30 seconds.
  • Piggy was able to climb ladders, making it possible for players to lure her out of the Sewers if the hatch was open and into other locations before she de-spawned at 11:45 in-game time.
  • The vehicle used for the Piggy rims in the teaser is the Roadster.
  • Unlike the original Piggy where she can do one-hit kills, the Jailbreak Piggy cannot, this was probably due to balancing issues. Instead, she could kill a player in four hits.
  • Piggy was still able to deal damage to the player, even when the player was in a vehicle.
  • The Piggy crossover was the third Jailbreak event.
    • First being the Ready Player One Event, which is held by Roblox. The second event was the Soccer Event, which changed multiple times and is still ongoing.
  • Piggy's AI would try to follow the player everywhere until they get far away from her.
    • If a player entered a vehicle, Piggy would still follow despite every vehicle being faster than Piggy's walking speed.
  • The Rocket Launcher's rockets would go through Piggy.
  • Piggy's speed was about the same as sprinting at full health.
    • Piggy was unable to open doors, however, she was still able to attack through them.
    • Additionally, she was unable to crouch or jump.
  • The Forcefield Launcher would do nothing to protect the player from Piggy.
  • After an unknown miscellaneous update, shooting Piggy would make the crosshair red (which is used to signify that damage has been done), and made the sound as if Piggy took damage, but it was instead the contrary, as she was unable to take any damage.
  • Shortly prior to its removal, some players were unable to obtain the Piggy Rims after being killed by Piggy.
