For the vehicle of a similar name, see Power-1. The Power Plant is one of the heist locations in Jailbreak. First introduced in the Map Expansion Update as a hollow building known as the Factory, it was later remodeled and became a robbery location in the Jet Ski & Power Plant Robbery Update since June 9, 2019.
Overview
The Power Plant has been known to be one of the more fast-paced and exciting heists in Jailbreak. The robbery has multiple stages, forcing criminals to be interactive like the Museum or Jewelry Store; it is not a robbery where players simply stand in one area to collect cash (an example of such being the Banks and Cargo Train).
The Camaro used to spawn at the Power Plant, until the Power Plant Revamp update, when the Challenger took its place. As of the 2020 Winter Update, the Delorean spawns at this location, which replaced the old Challenger spawn.
In the Crew Battles update, the Power Plant exits were revamped to include 2 new doors located on the left of the building for criminals to exit. A new Cybertruck spawn can be found behind the Power Plant. As part of the exits being revamped, flare stacks have been moved to accommodate a new road path which connects with the road leading to the Bounty Bridge. On Day 1 of the 2023 5 Days of Vehicles Event, another door was added to escape the Power Plant building.
In the Fall 2023 Update, the Power Plant now opens alongside the Cargo Plane and the Passenger Train with the new robbery open system.
Robbing the Power Plant
Notes
- Players can tell when the Power Plant is open and ready for robbery when they see smoke come out of any of the smokestacks.
- The old Power Plant is similar to the new Power Plant in terms of difficulty. The only things that are changed are longer and faster conveyor belt, slightly more obstacles to dodge, and hydraulic presses.
Entering
To get inside, criminals must go to the entrance where a damaged electricity box can be seen. From there, they will be met with a pop-up flow puzzle that appears on the screen. They must drag the colors together in a way that no color cuts off each other's trail - a flow pattern of sorts. The same puzzle cannot be achieved as it is randomized each time, therefore some can be harder than others. As of the Ships Update, numbers have been added to help colorblind individuals rob the Power Plant. Each number has it's corresponding match just like the colours.
Obstacles
Obtaining Uranium
Once the puzzle has been completed, a door will open for a few seconds, giving the criminal a chance to get inside of the building. Once they are inside, they will go underground where there are few lasers that the player needs to dodge. Once they reach the open platform with what appears to be a set of monitors, the player needs to jump onto the platform. If the player keeps moving forward, they will hit a laser wall which will damage their health by 25%. The player has to solve an even bigger and harder flow puzzle to obtain the Uranium. As soon as a player finishes the puzzle, they are given a rod of Uranium, which will lose value over time at a rate of 50 cash per second. Once the cash left reaches
1,000, the cash loss rate will rapidly decrease until the rod's value is worth
0. It was possible to complete the parkour and reach the exit before solving the puzzle to earn more cash, however that method was patched in the NASCAR Event update.
Exiting
Unlike going to the exit immediately, a second parkour course is needed to exit. There is a pit underneath, and if the player drops into it, they will lose health and die. This can be survived by using the Jetpack. There are 2 hydraulic presses that will crush anyone underneath them. The player must go to the conveyor belt and dodge the first piston. If one gets crushed by the piston, it will take away 50% of the player's health. After that, jump onto another conveyor belt, where there will be a big electrical beam, in which players will have to avoid jumping (or if too tall crawling) to avoid losing health. Another piston is ahead of them, which players will also have to dodge. A gap with a laser wall that separates 2 conveyor belts will need to be avoided. If you do not jump at the right place, you will get stuck in the wall and take damage for 5 seconds until you die, you will have to roll away to escape it and have another chance to get to the last conveyor belt. Once the parkour is completed, players can jump over the last set of lasers on the conveyor going up and exit the building through one of the four doors. Beware though as Police may be camping at the two front doors.
Delivery
As soon as a player finishes the parkour and exits the building, the player must go to the Volcano Criminal Base and deliver the uranium to a Collector as soon as possible. If this is done in a timely matter, an experienced criminal can end up getting 6,000-6,100 from this heist. If a criminal completes the heist, it should add
$1000 to their bounty. However, if the value of the uranium drops down to zero, it will disappear, meaning the criminal has failed to complete the robbery and no bounty will be added.

Tips/Tricks
- It is recommended that you use an aerial vehicle, or a fast land vehicle to rob the Power Plant, as you can obtain more money.
- Park your vehicle at the door so that you can exit quickly.
- Since there are two exit doors, if one police officer blocks it, take the next door as fast as possible.
- Sprinting is recommended while the player is doing the second parkour.
- If you find yourself being chased by a police officer, do not kill them unless you're about to be arrested. Damage them to the point that their speed has been greatly decreased, but don't waste your time killing them, because when they respawn, they will have full health and can get to the Volcano Base faster. As soon as they are damaged enough, get in your vehicle and escape. 5 shots with a Pistol should be enough.
- If players find a flow puzzle difficult, they can click on the "Cancel" button and another flow puzzle will be generated after walking to the electricity box/main computer. This can also be done by jumping or walking away from and then back to the electricity box/main computer. This refreshes the flow puzzle and replaces the previous one with another random puzzle.
- Puzzles do not require every single square to be filled - only connecting the numbers is necessary to get the uranium. However, nearly every puzzle needed to get the Uranium requires for every square to be filled. Some puzzles require certain numbers to be connected in a certain way, so if every number is connected and you don't get the uranium, redo some parts of the flow puzzle until you do.
- On the way to the Volcano Criminal Base, if there is a train blocking the path, don't wait for it to pass. Drive around or drive on the railroad tracks and then find the fastest way to get to the criminal base. Players can also drive on top of the hill and then drive over the train to the Criminal Base. If possible, drive and get across the crossing before the train crosses it. Another way is to rob whichever train is in the map, as it can compensate for the amount of Power Plant cash lost.
- Lock your vehicle. If you don't lock your vehicle, it has a better chance of being stolen. But if your vehicle is stolen, the closest car to the Power Plant is the Delorean, which is a paid vehicle. If you do not own the Delorean, you will be forced to spawn a vehicle or run to the Ray which will already diminish a great portion of the Uranium's value by the time you get there. You can also run to the nearby Cruiser and drive that to the Volcano Criminal Base. This is not recommended as you will still have to walk to the collector to cash in.
- Perfect timing: Go through the second parkour when the first hydraulic press is up. While running most of it, players can easily dodge the second piston instead of waiting for it.
- Do not use first person: Using first person while solving the puzzle may get the camera stuck which can be reverted by dying, pressing the O key, or exiting the Power Plant.
Notifications
- "The Power Plant, Cargo Plane, and Passenger Train will open next. BOSS's learn this before everyone else!" (Notifies the player who has the BOSS Gamepass)
- "Power Plant is not open..." (Attempting to break into the Power Plant when it is not open)
- "The power plant is open for robbery." (Notifies the player who has the BOSS Gamepass) (removed)
- "You already robbed the power plant!" (Attempting to hack the main computer for the second time)

Trivia
- Initially, when the Power Plant Revamp Update was first released, the smoke indicating the location was available for robbery was removed. It was later re-added after a miscellaneous update.
- Realistically, uranium does not appear green under any natural light conditions (however, it does appear yellowish-green under black light) and does not decay very quickly, with a half-life of 159,000-4.5 billion years.
- Additionally, anyone attempting this heist in real life would immediately die as the uncooled rods would be around 1,500° Celsius (2,732 Fahrenheit), and the now exposed rods would be also emitting anywhere between 10-17 Sieverts of radiation, 2-5 times the lethal upper limit of what a human can withstand (4 Sieverts of radiation is the maximum that a human can support without dying, and anything over than 0.01 sieverts of radiations will already cause some health risk).
- The Factory building was added in the Map Expansion Update, along with the Bounty Bay Airport. It was merely a placeholder, and would later get remodeled to become the Power Plant.
- This is the first heist to be located in the map expansion, with the second being the Cargo Plane and the third being the Cargo Ship.
- The Crown Jewel, Mansion and Oil Rig are also located in the Crater City map expansion. Both trains also pass through this area,
- The Bank Truck can also be robbed here, because of a drop off location at the Airport.
- This is the third building to become a robbery after being place-held by a generic building, along with the Jewelry Store and the Museum.
- The building lacked an interior before its robbery update. The exterior was very bland, only having a brick-like texture and some pipes to give it some detail.
- As of the 2020 Winter Update, the Delorean now spawns here.
- The Challenger now spawns at the Mountainside Town Gun Shop.
- The old power plant in the minimap was still there, even when it was revamped.
- This was fixed in the Town Revamp Update.
- Each
1,000 the uranium loses, it depletes the cash value slightly quicker. This is best noticed when the uranium is at a low value.
- This, the Bank Truck, Tomb, and Mansion are the only robberies in which the Bigger Duffel Bag Gamepass does not affect reward money. Instead, the Power Plant's cash amount depends on how long it takes to turn in to the Collector. It can, however, be increased with the VIP Gamepass.
- Doing the puzzle in the first-person mode will cause the player's viewer screen to be moved around, but will not complete the puzzle. To counteract this, zoom out into a third-person view, then complete the flow puzzle.
- Unlike most other heist locations, there was no music that plays during the robbery. Instead, loud factory noises would play when inside the heist.
- As of the revamped Power Plant Update, music now plays during the robbery and will stop when the player dies, gets arrested, or turns in the uranium to the collector.
- Coincidentally, the music added to the Power Plant uses the same soundtrack as another Roblox heist game, Entry Point.
- There was a glitch where the doors of the plant remain open, even when the Power Plant was closed.
- This rarely happens with the current Power Plant, but used to happen often before its revamp.
- Sometimes, before getting off the third conveyor belt,(not including the one near the entrance) it will teleport you out and the uranium will not be there. It's unknown what causes it but it has annoyed lots of players, calling the Power Plant "scammed power plant."
- After finishing the flow puzzle, the uranium stick on the players back gradually fades more and more the longer the player has it.
- There used to be a drop in the parking lot near the front door. If you happen to drive any low car onto it, the tires of the car may sink, causing the vehicle to get stuck. You'll be forced to either spawn a new car with the Premium Garage Gamepass, take the Camaro that spawned there, or use Rocket Fuel to boost your car's speed to get out of the drop.
- Since the Power Plant Revamp, this has been fixed.
- After the Nukes Update of May 3rd, 2020, the electrical box inside the power plant was changed from red sparkles to random electrical zaps.
- When someone robs uranium, the power in the city will go out and all the players in the server will hear a bubble sound effect.
- Before a miscellaneous update, the lasers in the Power Plant used to be placed in different heights, meaning that a player had to crouch and jump. Now, all lasers are placed on the floor, so all you have to do is jump. This overall makes the robbery easier.
- As of May 17th, 2020, players can use the Jetpack inside of the Power Plant due to popular requests along with the Jewelry Store.
- The ban of Jetpacks was first introduced in the Nukes Update on May 3rd, 2020.
- When players get crushed by the hydraulic press inside the Power Plant, their avatar will be 50% shorter.
- In the first uranium value buff, the maximum uranium value increased from
5,600 to
5,800 due to faster vehicles and players tending to use Rocket Fuel.
- The second buff from
5,800 to
6,400 due to an additional conveyor belt which increases the average time inside the power plant. Also, the increased difficulty of the new obby compared to the old one.
- However just a few days after the Power Plant Revamp Update, the developers nerfed the maximum payout from
6,400 to
6,000, as players could complete the flow puzzle right before they exit the Power Plant.
- The developers also added a few more lasers.
- The second buff from
- This is the third robbery heist location in Jailbreak to be revamped, after the Rising City Bank and Jewelry Store and before the Bank again and the Museum.
- The pipes at the front used to not be solid, but it was changed to solid a few days later.
- When it first came out, flame used to come out of the giant pipes all the time, even when it was closed. This was fixed a few days later.
- You actually can survive in the dark abyss under the Power Plant obby by jumping repeatedly, similar to the mouth of the Volcano Base. You can also survive under there by standing on the metal beams or parts of the bedrock. However, it is pointless to do so as there is no way to get out.
- If you go past the main computer where you get the uranium, continue on the first conveyor belt, until the part where you need to jump onto another conveyor belt. Don't continue on that, but instead continue on the first conveyor belt, until you reach the end of the belt. Go inside the red rectangle, where it'll present you with a secret room, with a laptop playing Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up".
- This has since been removed.
- You can go inside the pillars at the front of the Power Plant by going to the edge of them and jumping into the pillar. This can serve as a good hiding spot if a cop is chasing you, or camping to arrest the criminal inside the power plant.
- Sometimes, a glitch will cause you to get teleported out near the second crusher, or on the moving ramp at the end of the parkour course. If you had planned to match the colored numbers after the obby, you will end up getting nothing.
- As long as the Power Plant had at least another person in there, you could actually complete the uranium puzzle outside. However, if the person exited the Power Plant before you finished the puzzle, you would end up getting nothing.
- After the 2023 Fall Update, Power Plant has been classified as Robbery Group B, opening along with the Cargo Plane and Passenger Train.
- The Mini Police Station was across the road from the Power Plant until the removal in the July 2021 Update.
Miscellaneous Trivia
- The removed Rickroll Easter egg could be found inside the Power Plant after passing through some conveyor belts and entering the secret area where a computer monitor displayed a picture of Rick Astley.
- This was possibly used to troll someone because the player couldn't leave the room, instead, they died and respawned at the Rising City or the Volcano Criminal Base.
