Security Cameras are a feature which was released in the 2021 Winter Update.

Overview

Security Cameras are primarily used by police to monitor an area to spot and track down any criminals caught robbing something in their vicinity. If a player is caught within view of a camera, a yellow player marker will appear for a short amount of time, indicating the exact position. Cameras can be shot down, temporarily disabling them for 5–10 seconds. During this time, the screen in the camera UI will appear red. It takes 15 damage to disable a camera.

Location	Description
Sewers	Located by one of the two exits inside the Sewers.
Rising City Bank	Located past the keycard-required metal door inside the Rising City Bank.
Power Plant	Located at the end of the conveyor belt leading to the exits of the Power Plant.
Jewelry Store	Located at the top most floor inside the Jewelry Store.
Gas Station	Located just above the asimo3089 NPC inside the Gas Station.
Nightclub	Located on the ceiling above the lounge area at the Nightclub inside the Crown Jewel.
Bounty Bay Airport Entrance	Located on the wall of the building, looking down at the entrance and Bank Truck drop off location at the Bounty Bay Airport.

Location	Description
Crime Port	Previously located by the Cargo Plane dropoff location at the Crime Port. It was removed due to Roblox limitations, where terrain would not render on the cameras.
1M Dealership	Previously located above the Drone Spawn inside the 1M Dealership.
Train Tunnel 2	Previously located inside Train Tunnel 2, located next to the Rising City.
Sewers Pre-Revamp	Previously located at the far end of the exit inside the Sewers. This was replaced with Sewers revamp.
Bounty Bay Airport Runway	Previously located on the wall of the building, looking down at the runway at the Bounty Bay Airport. This was replaced with the Bounty Bay Airport revamp.

SWAT Phone

This content is locked behind a gamepass, which must be purchased with Robux to access.

The SWAT Phone is an item used to view Security Cameras remotely. As the name "SWAT Phone" implies, the item can only be used if the player has the SWAT Gamepass. Using this item is the only way a player can access the security cameras from outside a police station or level 4 base.

Tips and Tricks

Criminals

• Shoot out any cameras to prevent Police from being able to track you.
• Take note of camera locations and use a diversion around them.

Police

• If you catch a criminal on a camera go to the marker as fast as you can as it doesn't stay visible for long.
• Have a SWAT Phone in your inventory, If someone asks about the Crown Jewel code, open it as the nightclub is the first location you see and they might be looking in that area.

Trivia

• When a player comes into view of the security camera while someone is watching it, there will be a slight flash on the UI.
• Cameras can cause lag for low-end devices due to poor loading stability of the rooms and high memory usage.
  • Switching between cameras too fast can cause temporary, screen freezes for few minutes.
• All the cameras do not load automatically when you join.
  • The affected cameras are those at the Nightclub and Gas Station.
    • The Bounty Bay Airport camera also used to be affected by this before its removal.
    • Camera locations do not appear on the UI at first and players have to drive near the location for it to appear. This is likely due to StreamingEnabled because the cameras don't render if you're far away from said cameras.
