This article is about the Lamborghini SUV, the Surus. To see the Lamborghini supercar, see La Matador. To see the Vision GT hypercar, see M12 Molten.

The Surus is a performance SUV in Jailbreak and the first of the 5 Vehicles in the 5 Days 5 Vehicles Update occurring between June 30, 2020, and July 4, 2020. It replaced the now retired SUV, and costs 109,000.

The Surus previously spawned inside the Prison Garage prior to the destruction and revamp of the Prison during the 2023 Prison Update.

The Surus now spawns near the Modern Town Home in Mountainside Town.

Overview

The Surus originally spawned at the Prison's parking lot, similar to the original SUV, prior to the addition of the Prison Garage. The vehicle also had a spawn location at the Rising City Police Station, but the spawn was removed when the Interrogator was released. Now spawning near the Modern Town Home in Mountainside Town.

The Surus' great performance, fairly cheap price, and four seats combine to make an excellent team vehicle. However, due to its only spawn at the Prison Garage, Prisoners and Criminals had to hijack the vehicle before driving it, making the Surus a less popular vehicle. This has been changed since the 2023 Prison Update as its spawn has been moved.

Performance

The Surus has great performance. Its top speed is really good for it's price, comparable to the Icebreaker and far faster than it's fellow Lamborghini rival, La Matador. However, it is far behind the Stallion. Its launch and acceleration are powerful, nearly comparable to the La Matador. Its off-roading ability is also great, being able to climb hills and terrain without losing much momentum.

Overall, the Surus is an excellent vehicle. It is suggested that players purchase the Surus for playing in teams or as Police, as it has multiple seats and good performance.

The Surus can reach 200 MPH, making it lot faster than its predecessor, the SUV. It's also able to beat the Shell Mark-5, JB8 and Longhorn. It is slightly slower than the Ray 9, Torero, Monster Truck and Sentinel. Reverse speed is great. The Surus is faster than most of the vehicles in its category and even beats some supercars. It is slightly behind the Challenger, as well as other supercars. It can easily beat La Matador. It caps at 66 MPH.

The Surus has a launch speed that is moderately slower than La Matador. Despite this, it is still among the top of its price range and is useful for getaways. It can reach 46 MPH in one second. Comparable with the Stallion. The acceleration is great, taking eight to ten seconds to reach desired speeds. However, it takes a while to reach silent speed, taking 25-30 seconds overall. Its acceleration rate slowly decreases as top speed increases. Comparable with the Stallion.

Off-roading

The Surus can make sharp turns easily. However, at a high speed, it is vulnerable to bodyroll while turning, forcing the driver to slow down considerably to not flip over. While it does have high ground clearance and goes over terrains decently, the car tends to flip and roll over while climbing hills and mountains. It is less stable than La Matador, Torpedo, Brulee, Eclaire, M12 Molten, and even the SUV. Drifting can help remedy this.

The Surus brakes from top speed within two seconds. The Surus competes with many vehicles in this category. Even in its max speed which is great. The Surus has 125 health and disabling duration of 7.5 seconds, easily beating the La Matador but losing to the SWAT Van.

Trivia

  • The Surus is based on the Lamborghini Urus.
  • In the original reveal tweet of the Surus in the thumbnail of the 5 Days 5 Vehicles Update, the car's name was incorrectly spelled "Sirus"[2]. This has been fixed in later thumbnails of the event. [3]
  • The Surus cannot equip the textures that were retired in the July 2020 Update.
  • The Surus has a custom license plate that reads "BULL", which is a reference to the raging bull on the Lamborghini logo.
  • The release of this vehicle was delayed by about an hour, as Roblox did not approve the body mesh in time.[4]
  • There was a short period of time when the Surus was slower than the Camaro, only slightly beating the ATV in top speed but was buffed shortly later.
  • This car was able to be used to glitch inside the Jewelry Store, as long as it has the lowest suspension possible, allowing for an easy escape. This glitch has since been patched.
  • In the 2023 Prison Update, the Surus spawn point has been moved to the Mountainside Town near the Modern Town Home.

Miscellaneous trivia

  • The Surus is one of 4 SUVs in the game, the others being the SUV the Badger and Interrogator.
    • However, the Surus is one of only two SUVs in Jailbreak without a bullbar, with the other being the Badger.
  • The Surus is the fourth car with the "Rumble" version of Badimo's engine chassis.
  • The Surus is the fourth car to be given a fictional name that does not match its real-life counterpart, though it is very similar, just having an 'S' before "Urus".
