The Unknown Crate was a large metal crate that was added in the 2023 Winter Update.

Overview

The Unknown Crate first appeared on top of the Oil Rig robbery before being moved to the beach next to the Oil Docks.

After the 2023 Winter Update dropped, players found a crate on top of the Oil Rig with the words "Do Not Open" and "Property of the CEO" inscribed on it, similar to the Special Delivery Package and the Airdrop crates.

On December 19th, 2023, Badimo released a teaser on their X account, showing the crane on top of the Oil Rig moving and later dropping the crate in the ocean, where it floated ashore to its current location. It would sit at west of Crater Coast, near a vacant parking spot for the Camper. Like the Special Delivery Package, nothing was inside the crate before release, and players were not able glitch their camera or use a cinematic camera in a Private Server to see what was inside.

On December 20th, 2023, asimo3089 confirmed that whatever is inside the crate will be a new limited.

On December 22nd, 2023, Badimo announced on its X account that the new limited would be the Carbonara. After the update, the crate broke, revealing the Carbonara's limited-time spawn location.

Trivia

• This is similar to the Special Delivery Package which was in the game and housed the spawn of the Agent in May 2021.
• Due to the teaser, many players suspected that this would be a new limited vehicle as Badimo had said they have "One More Thing", which would later prove to be correct.
  • Many players also suspect that this could be the Polaris V8 or the Nevada, vehicles with high support rates that missed out on being the grand prize in favour of the Frost Crawler.
    • However, none of those vehicles were added. Instead, it was the Carbonara, another highly upvoted creation.
• The vehicle inside the crate is the fourth vehicle canonically owned by the CEO, following the Crown, Escape Bot and Successor.
